Dansville Travel Soccer was formed in 2008 to promote a competitive soccer environment in Dansville. Our goal is to develop and promote soccer within the community. Our Mission is to continue the growth and development of the travel soccer team through all ages. We are invested in the skill development of our children, exposure to various tournaments, as well as establishing a viable league to continue the advancement of girls soccer in Dansville. It is our philosophy to create an environment where young players learn to master and enjoy the game of soccer. Winning is important to us, however, not as important as the continuous improvement in playing the game. A structured and enjoyable environment at the younger ages will change into a more competitively focused approach. Having fun is an important ingredient in mastering soccer techniques and skills. Together with discipline and camaraderie we are striving to give our players the best possible learning situation to help our players to get the most out of her game.
An elected board of directors and officers governs the club. However, the Club's success is due to the extraordinary contributions of volunteers, from team coaches to parents. Qualified coaches are selected and approved by the board of directors. The club does not rank teams within the same age group for the purpose of "promoting" stronger players or "demoting" weaker players.
